(Don’t) Face Your Fears

Can’t sit on the giant wheel, don’t. Some people define fun as sitting on the giant wheel, some as watching the waves on a beach. Can’t talk to that person, don’t. Some people have a phobia, a genuine fear of something, you can’t make them do that, because in most cases, facing the phobia can have adverse effects. So why force people to face other fears/problems. They say you shouldn’t run from them, because there’s only so much you can run from, at the end of it all, you’ll have to face your fears, because it’s a vicious cycle, which ends only when you face your fears. Okay, I agree you’ll have to face some fear sometime, that doesn’t mean you have to face every fear all the time. I believe that if facing something gives you stress, don’t! Giving yourself unnecessary stress isn’t bravery, it’s stupidity. I say run, avoid those things as long as you can, without ever thinking about them.

But there are some things that until we are faced with, keeps scaring us. We stay in constant stress about how we are going to act when faced with this thing etc. It happens to me sometimes, I just wish I was faced with it, so that I could just deal with it, and get rid of all that anxiety. If that’s the case with you, then I pray a situation comes that you have to face the fear. But rest, you don’t really have to face.
